Archie Grubb joined Beasley Allen in October 2009, where he practices in the Consumer Fraud section. Prior to joining Beasley Allen, Archie lived and worked in Columbus, Ga., for the past 6 years. While working for the firm Carlock, Copeland & Stair, LLP, he practiced defense litigation, then practiced in the area of personal injury litigation at Gary O. Bruce, P.C. Archie's practice has included the areas of personal injury, insurance defense, criminal defense, and consumer bankruptcy. He was lead or co-counsel in a number of civil and criminal trials. In 2009 to date, he has tried six cases, and in each received an award higher than the settlement offer proposed by the opposing insurance carrier. Notably, he has been lead counsel in a $500,000 award in a pit bull dog attack case, and co-counsel for a $675,000 settlement of a tractor-trailer wreck case and a $250,000 settlement of a slip and fall case. He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, and was admitted to practice in Alabama in 2003 and Georgia in 2004. He is a 1995 graduate of the University of Alabama honors program, where he received his degree with a double-major in History and Political Science. Archie was a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and served as President of the Chattahoochee Bar Association. He is a member of the Alabama Association for Justice. He grew up in Eufaula, Alabama, and comes from a long line of attorneys. His late father and grandfather were practicing attorneys in Alabama, and his great-grandfather was a federal judge in Birmingham. He is married to the former Mary Lynn Pugh of Columbus, Georgia, and they have two sons, Win and Sam.
